The boys cricket team won through to the next round against the top Southland team this week. An excellent all round performance and an outstanding century by Jacob Murray were the keys to the win over Oamaru Intermediate.

Jacob Murray scored  an outstanding century and was well backed up by Reuben Bouman and Stirling Gates. 

A good bowling performance by Gus Holt, Max Davidson and Josh Hart who all captured three wickets.

Last week we played our opening two games of the tournament. We had a tough first up game against John McGlashan and managed to score 112/5 off our 20 overs. Jacob Murray top scored with 42 not out. An impressive bowling performance meant that our opposition could only manage 84/8 in reply. Best bowling figures went to Gus Holt with 2 for 6 off his 4 overs.

Our second game was against Taieri College who we managed to beat fairly comfortably despite losing a few cheap wickets.
