Hockey continues to grow at Tahuna with 4 teams now competing in the Intermediate competition.

The Winter hockey season is in full swing and for the first time in recent memory we are delighted to now have four Tahuna teams battling it out in the Intermediate competition. This year we have over 60 hockey players who train before school every week with their coaches and play their matches on Fridays after school.

Our players are loving the speed and skill of playing on the astroturf at the McMillan Turf near the Forsyth Barr Stadium. We are very lucky to be receiving lots of support in coaching our teams from current students, former students and even others who didn't come to Tahuna (thanks Tavish!).

The first three weeks were grading games and now the teams are into divisions with teams of similar ability. The season runs through most of Term 3 and everyone is very welcome to pop along to see these fast, exciting matches.
