One of our rotations this week was looking into Māori myths and legends.

We looked around the mythologies of creation, Maui and Aoraki. We discussed how and why myths change over time. We then read and listened to the two legends explaining the human-like features on the top of Kapukataumahaka. Children then went into groups to act out this legend and put their own creative spin on the legend.
