Outram Glen Tramp Rm 15 Camp

Kate Walsh —

It was about a 20 minute drive there. The tramp was not near anything it was just surrounded by farms and fields. It was a very fun walk and there was a beautiful river beside it, where we stopped for lunch. It was an 3 hour tramp walk and all the up hills and down hills were tiring. It was so easy to fall over but that’s ok only 2 class students fall over. About every 10 minutes there would be a little stream going into the river and there were little rocks for you to step on to not get wet. There were a lot of fantails, I even saw two fantails fighting and on the way back I saw a pretty bellbird singing a beautiful song. After walking for a while we stopped at the river for lunchtime. After we ate, all of the class were skipping rocks while l I was making rock towers of 6. After they had done skipping stones, Miss Walsh said there was a competition and it was whoever built a really cool thing out of rocks wins. I was very happy because I was already done. After we did that we started walking back that’s when a very narrow pathway and there was a very big drop so we went single file one by one. We went past that bit and that’s when I saw the bellbird and the two fantails fighting. We went down a very steep pathway and if u fall down that would hurt so we went very slowly and steady. We finally made it to the bus and we went over a bridge and we had a look over the hole river. Then we headed to camp.
