Kayla —

Today we experience real ink and rice paper...

After practicing with brushes water and special drying paper we got to do the real thing today.

We drew Chinese characters publishing three pieces, the first was New Zealand, the second was our chosen names in Ping Yin and we also drew a panda.

Things to remember for success would be correctly holding your brush which should be positioned straight up and down.  Be very careful with your ink as it can stain your clothing and to change the thickness of your line you push lightly and then change the angle to a downward positon.

This was a very fun hands on experience and I would love to do it again.
