Valuing student voice and meeting individual learning needs

Kristy McBride —

Why is it important for students to have a voice?

Room 1 students have been working really hard together to build the foundations of a positive, collaborative working environment. For this to be successful we have to develop the skills required. We communicate and each group member has a role e.g, project manager, noice control, recorder, implementer, co-ordinator, resource investigator, specialist and team worker. We also have a choice of how we would like to present our work. Digitally or in our books. By having this choice we feel like we can be really creative and inspiring to others. We also get to reflect on our learning. Self reflection is really hard because it makes us think a lot and we learn new vocabulary.
