Tahuna Intermediate - the home of no comply pop shuvits!

Sean Minhinnick —

Every week at Tahuna budding skaters and scooter riders meet to ride, compete, impress and challenge each other with their tricks.

One of the many activities on offer during school time at Tahuna is skateboarding and scootering, where riders with a wide range of abilities develop their skills and share their love of riding together.

No comply pop shuvits, kickflips, frontside heelflips, half-cabs and a whole lot more tricks can all be seen being performed by the kids. It’s a lot of fun and I absolutely love seeing the boys with more advanced skills coaching and mentoring the other riders.  The connections being made between students at different year levels while skateboarding is particularly pleasing to witness!

Weekly competitions with small prizes help to further motivate and hone their riding skills and test their mettle. At the end of the year we hope to visit a skatepark in town to celebrate our year together and to take riding to the next level…...

Riders of all skill levels are welcome to check it out, just meet us on the courts every Wednesday lunchtime.
