Ameliaranne Ekenasio, also known as Ameliaranne Wells is a well known netball player. She was born in Queensland, Australia 11th January 1991. Her parents are Anthony and Denese Wells. She has two kids Luna and Ocean and a husband Damien. Ameliaranne is Maori Australian and part Ngapuhi and Ngati Kahu.

Ameliaranne started playing netball at the age of 13. In 2007 and 2008 she was a member of the ATW that won the Bundaberg netball association. In 2010 she was a part of the Queensland team that won the under-19 tournament beating New South Whales in the finals. She also was a part of the Thunder cats, Brisbane South Wildcats and the Yellow Cab Lions.

In 2014 Ameliaranne moved to New Zealand. Sadly a year after she moved her mother Denese Wells died of illness in December 2015. That same month she met Former Wellington Saint basketball player Damien Ekenasio. 3 weeks later they got engaged and she took his last name to make her Ameliaranne Ekenasio.

Ameliaranne plays GA and GS because she is a very confident long range shooter. She is a member of the New Zealand netball team that won the 2019 world cup. She led her team to the first constellation cup against Australia since 2012. With being really good at shooting and playing netball, Ameliaranne captains the Silver Ferns team. Throughout Ameliaranne’s netball career she discovered how the improvement of the mindset betters her ability to play.

Ameliaranne is still alive and well and is the age of 32.
