Camp Sutton for Room 19

Gregor Croudis —

Leaving on Wednesday morning, there were mixed emotions in room 19. Students were nervous, excited and scared about what lay ahead for them on there first camp at Tahuna Intermediate.

Wednesday morning started off with a bus ride through to Middlemarch where Camp Sutton was located. A swim followed after our bus ride, then we were lucky enough to go to the Salt Lake where we went lizard hunting and explored around the rocks. Day 2 consisted of biking along the rail trail, slug gun shooting, charcoal drawing and exploring the terrain around Hyde. Day 3 was a big clean up day, which was hard as everyone was running on not much of sleep but an enjoyable camp for everyone in room 19.
