Tahuna Tech Update

We have enjoyed seeing the smiling faces as students continue to gain new skills and have experiences within their Tech subjects. In the photo above, Hard Materials students test out the bench seat they have made.

In Visual Art, students have been creating work based on 'Pop Art' using bright colours and patterns with bold outlines making their work pop with colour. They have been learning about new artists and distorting images by using their imagination.

Techniques using watercolour paints have been a big learning curve for student's, showing some pleasing results within their landscapes.

In E-Tech students have continued developing their personalised projects, and refining their abilities on the laser cutter.

In Hard Materials, students have been working co-operatively to create planter boxes to beautify our school space and some boxes also have the addition of a bench seat.

In Food Technology students continue to develop their practical skills whilst following the 'Design Process' to design their own products. Students are carrying out research and completing costing for an upcoming brief where they will assist with catering for a school event.
