Great end to the hockey season

Tennis Hot Shots Open Day Sunday 4 September - Learn to Play at Eastern Harbour Tennis Club!

Tennis Hot Shots is the exciting new way to learn the FUNdamentals of tennis that will allow children to play this 'game for life'. This great coaching programme is suitable for children of ALL ages and abilities, with all equipment provided! Very low coach to child ratios mean that children receive all the attention and support they need. Lessons take place on Saturday mornings in Term 4 and Term 1.

Pasifika Groups at Polyfest

Last night the Tahuna Pasifika groups performed to rousing audiences at the Edgar Centre. The Cook Island group was tutored by Mrs Keni Moeroa and her daughter Sellina Sa'u, who have imparted a very special aspect of Cook Island culture with the students. For the first time in years, the group sang their opening number and boys were a part of the drum dance item. They looked spectacular in the variety of colourful lavalavas, lei and titi, made by the Moeroa family.

VISITING THE WASTE TREATMENT PLANT

After recently visiting the Green Island Landfill as part of our Sustainability topic, we visited the Tahuna Waste Treatment Plant to see just what happens to our waste and how all the alterations and upgrades have dramatically and positively impacted on our neighbouring coastline. We heard how important it is to watch what goes down the storm water drains and the worst culprits for the treatment station are the wet wipes. It was a most informative visit and memorable visit.

Tahuna All Star Rippa Team gets a victory at Forsyth Barr against an all boys DNI team. The game was the halftime entertainment for the Otago V Tasman Mitre 10 Cup game on Saturday night.
