Brain Busters

My name is Sarah Harrison and I am associate producer on Brain Busters, a Kids TV quiz show funded by NZ ON AIR. Brain Busters plays out on TV2 at 4.00pm on weekdays and is filmed by our team at Whitebait Media right here in Christchurch.

Year 8 and 9 tamariki play a general knowledge round before stepping forward to answer questions in a specialist subject of their choosing (Maths, Spelling, Reo Rangatira, Science, History or Memory). The top two players take on our in-studio obstacle course and the final player takes on the quiz master one on one for max winnings. Absolutely everyone on the show wins prize money

We are currently casting for season 3 and need tamariki for recording dates in 2022. I’m not just looking for smarts but also students with a range of interests and strengths!

We do our all to make it a positive experience for the students who take on the adventure and appear on our show. The most important thing is they walk away from our studios a little taller than when they came in and I’m glad to say we get positive feedback from their time spent with us.
