This week is the first newsletter in the new format. 

Parent/Teacher interviews are coming up and will be held on the 23rd & 24th July.

Year 8 Camps are underway with Rooms 1 and 4 on camp this week and Rooms 9 and 11 heading out to Waiora next week.

A good effort in the bowling department was not enough against a strong Balmacewen line-up.

On Saturday 14th of February, the Otago Junior Surf Champs were held at St Clair in challenging conditions. Tahuna Normal Intermediate students were there and had great success.

Seven teams of 3 and one lone individual competitor assembled at Port Chalmers swimming pool at 5 pm to listen to the pre race brief and to receive team and individual competitor numbers

A group of Tahuna students have been practicing our Tuakana /Teina Model of  teaching and Learning at Tahuna.

In the Room 9 Maths class, students have been busy interviewing each other to gather data for their statistical investigations.

Anika competes in the South Island Junior (Grom) series surf competition at Aramoana. She came 2nd in the Under 12 girls event.   

House Leaders were introduced to the school along with our house flags. 

All school councillors presented with their badges at Assembly.

This is our annual fundraiser where we attempt to earn funds to purchase more iPads for our IT studies.
