During the first week of term 3 we were all inspired by the story and work of Henri' Matisse.
Over the past few weeks our PE focus has been on the beautiful game .
Air rifles, confidence course, grass skis, bush walk, water slide, cooking, camp concert, night walk etc. it was all on today!

With a few students in The Hub who have received blue cards in the first week we wanted to explain how Tahuna's values system works.
By the end of the first week The Hub connections are being made, our culture is being developed and it's buzzing with activity, learning, community and collaboration.

One of the big focuses for Term 2 is science and we've got the term off to a big start!
Over the last few weeks we have been playing an exciting game called Ki o rahi.
A focus at Tahuna is to develop our knowledge and use of te reo in the school, at home and in the wider community. In the Hub there are a range of activities to support this.
This week the 'Hubsters' had their first technology classes at Tahuna.

In the Hub we made the most of our lockdown in so many different ways.
Reading has come alive over the last few weeks with lots of deep and rich conversations as students together discuss and analyse their texts.
From all of 19A we say a massive kia ora to Matiu, Taneha, Trina and Pete.
We've created bright and beautiful self portraits in the style of Pablo Picasso.
Rupert Lublow-Catty, Grace McAuley, Hannah Geary, and Brooke Wilson have been voted by their peers as Class Councillors for The Hub in 2021.
