Electives on Friday afternoons for term 2 will be an exciting adventure for 20 students as they learn to program EV3 Lego robots using Scratch in the E-Tech workshop.

Students will use their 90 minute Elective time each Friday to prepare and program a line following Rescue robot.

The Rescue - Line, Scenario.

Each Team of up to 4 Students will design and make a Lego EV3 Robot that will line-follow its way past obstacles to a victim trapped in a chemical spill. The victim (a lego mini figure ) will be perched precariously on top of a Coke can in the middle of a green area.

Our students mission is to program the robot to rescue the 'victim' by pushing the can out of the green area so the humans can help our little lego figure to safety once it is away from the 'Toxic Chemical spill' area.

We will update you on our progress each newsletter.

Please pencil in the Saturday the 24th June 2023 to come and see our teams in action at the local Dunedin venue (DCBC), lots of free parking, full cafe and also LUGOTAGO lego users group family display of Lego.

 Free admission, families welcome
