Term 2

Science Fair is underway!

Room 6 has been learning to conduct and carry out experiments for our science fair. Students have all been given term calendars so they can visually see what needs to be done by when.

Miss Steffensen our student teacher has been busy teaching the class over the last few weeks and will be completing her posting and time with us at the end of week 5. We have all enjoyed her teaching and thank her for all her efforts with the class.  Miss Steffenson will be posted at a different school for the last half of her masters year so we wish her all the very best.

We have had a number of expert coaches in to take a specific sporting code for us this term.  The students have all really enjoyed a varied P.E program which introduces them to lots of sports which they may wish to carry on playing this year or next.

Our electives and sports options have also started this term (Every Friday) and again the students have had an opportunity to choose an area of interest to learn more about, taught by lots of different teachers in the school.

Our school cross-country is coming up in Week 6. We will be using Tahuna park as our venue. Students have been having daily fitness sessions which have helped them work towards increasing their fitness level. The top 10 boys and top 10 girls across the school will go through to compete in the Ariki cup race later in the term.
