Tahuna Orchestra and the Hub Marimbas live!
2020 has not been a great year for live performance but the final assembly of term 3 was an opportunity to make up lost ground.
The Tahuna Orchestra was proud to be able to perform for the special merit assembly and the Sir Peter Blake Awards.The orchestra - which features violins, cellos, trumpets and trombone, oboe and flutes, sax and clarinet, marimba, drums and keyboards - played a rousing Tango and a Cha cha by D.R.Bellwood for an audience of 600.
Later room 19a rocked the house (hall) with a swinging marimba rendition of Mbira Jam by Walt Hampton featuring Marlee Silva on drums.
