Our Year 8's continue to be great role models for our Year 7 students. Staff have been impressed with the way that our Year 8's are displaying our school values.

Last Friday, we held a special Assembly to announce our Leaders for 2022. After an inspirational message from Mr Clarke we presented our 20 student leaders with their badges.

Increasingly children are using screens more and more in their daily lives. As a parent, it can be really tricky to know how much is too much and how to keep children safe on the internet especially as they get older.

Key information regarding the upcoming season.

After many tough elections throughout our 18 classrooms the Tahuna 2022 School Council has been formed. Two councillors from each classroom have been elected after bravely giving a speech to their entire classroom.

Last Friday was the School Council organised the first Mufti Day of 2022.

It hasn't always been plain sailing, but we're nearing the end of our term 1 season and Tahuna has been represented by some great teams, skills and fair play.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can go ahead with all of our Performing Arts groups in Term 2.

Parents and caregivers are often asking how they can help their children at home. In this article, we have highlighted some aspects to support reading at home with your child. Reading plays an important role in all aspects of our life. There are several ideas below that you can support your child with learning, but the key to anything is to ensure it is FUN! Reading doesn’t just have to be out of a novel, language is everywhere.

Thanks to Tristan, Freya, Van, Madi, Haidee and Emily for summarising what has been going on in Rm 16 in Term 1. We are looking forward to creating more articles regularly from Term 2 for you to have an insight on what we are doing in class.
