Welcome to term two.

Students have all completed their first rotation of a specialist subject area. There has been much excitement and lots of great work already as students start a new subject area for Term 2.

The recent cold snap has reminded us that winter is just around the corner!

The school is closed on Friday May 31st and reopens on Tuesday 4 June as Monday is Kings Birthday

Pride and appearance goes hand in hand with standards, building self-esteem and confidence. Formal uniform and PE are seperate. Hoodies should not be worn as part of our formal uniform.

This is a great opportunity for students/ngā ākonga looking for additional academic challenge and extension, experience with sitting exams, the opportunity for new challenges and to develop confidence.

As they have for many years, a number of Tahuna students were up bright and early on Anzac Day to represent our school at the Dawn Service.

Last week eight out of our 2024 group of Tahuna School Councillors and House Leaders had the fantastic opportunity to spend the day at the World Vision Junior Youth Conference.

We're lucky as a Normal school to get multiple groups of student teachers working at Tahuna all through the year.
