New school sculptures with Gavin

By Pipi and Evie

This term some people from Volunteer club elective have been working with Gavin making korowai patterns for some sculptures around the school.

We started off by designing patterns on pieces of paper using different korus, Gavin then took our ideas and cut them out on the laser cutter, he then helped us spray paint them with the colours of our choice.

We’ve had lots of fun and can't wait to see them on the sculptures!!!

A special thanks to Gavin Wilson who has helped us throughout these few weeks. He has taught us so many interesting ideas. Also helped us learn to spray paint, glue wood together and how to work as a team.

Thanks again for all your work and we all enjoyed having you here and we hope to see you again and see the amazing sculptures you're designing and making.
