Welcome back to another term. The term has started very well with the Parent - Teacher Interviews held in the first week and they were very well attended . If you missed out on one do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher and arrange one.

The team of Ray Ma, Cam Fraser, Ethan McGregor and Michael Court dominated last night at the Edgar Centre with a 100% correct record. Our Year 7 teams also did really well with two podium finishes. More to come in this weeks Newsletter on Friday

We entered two teams in the first ever Dunedin primary school EPro8 competition held at Tahuna Intermediate for local primary schools. 

It wasn't great to find our Outdoor Table Tennis Table destroyed by some incredibly selfish people in the school holidays. It is solid concrete so it would of taken a few people to lift and tip it over.

We have a lot of talent at Tahuna and 18 students have been chosen to represent Otago for Basketball. 

Over the past two terms we have had 11 miniball teams competing in the Allstars Competition. Now it's finals week.

Netball finals were held this week with 8 out of 12 teams competing 

Term three focuses on Health and Physical Education.

Making connections between maths and the real world.......we aim for: rich tasks, materials, open-ended questions, hands-on, teacher not “giving”, developing deep, conceptual understandings,  lots of group work, lots of student to student talk. Here's what some our students think......

This week, Room 9 ventured out to Logan Park for our first rock climbing session in preparation for Long Beach later this term.

Next Friday on the 18th of August the Dunedin Technical Lions are leaving on a football tournament in Japan. 

On the last day of Term 2 , Lachie Cameron was the recipient of this prestigious and well deserved award at our Merit Assembly.

The Tahuna Badminton squads have begun the Badminton season with great success.

Once again Tahuna students hit the slopes of Coronet Peak in Queenstown and made the most of the amazing fresh snow that had fallen on the night we arrived. It was EPIC... 

Ayanna and Mia are two of the Art and Craft elective kids who have been busy creating on Fridays.

We welcome our International Guests to our school. There are opportunities to welcome a student into your home during various times of the year. There is a group arriving in August 2019.

Room 1 visit the Botanical Gardens, and have a go at Rock Climbing in Week 2.

Great to see Spencer Campbell, Bella & Molly Langley and Bella O'Connor use their initiative and culinary skills to prepare this huge batch of cupcakes.

Tahuna blew the competition away at Kettle Park. 

The Peninsula Schools Art Exhibition held at Bayfield High School displayed all mediums of art work of all ages.

Students in Room 1 have a go at using new resources for reading rotations, and mathematics resources.
