Hip Hop Champion!

Hi, I'm Kaysen, a year 8 student in Room 21 at Tahuna. I recently competed in the 2024 IMPACT regionals competition for Hip Hop Dance. This was my very first time doing a solo because last year I did a duo with Tuki. We got 2nd! The organiser of my dance company only gave me three weeks to learn choreography and perform my dance solo. Interestingly, the other dancers  got at least 1-2 months! The IMPACT competition was located in Christchurch. I went up against six other girls and I was the last soloist to perform. I received an excellence award and I did get the chance to compete in the nationals. I received great feedback from the judges and they said that I was very good and unique. I actually missed out on the regional competition because I broke my collar bone and if you were selected you could compete in Sydney, But soon I'll be back going to as many comps as I can!

E Tech

E- Tech

In E Tech this term, we have been working on our projects. Some people have been working on jewelry stands and boxes, as well as some 3D objects and scenes. But I have been working on a PS4 Controller stand for my mum's house.

It took me 3 weeks to make it, but it only took 57 minutes to print. It is white with the PlayStation logo on the front and my name on the bottom. It is 50cm wide and 90cm long. It is quite big and uses a lot of materials, which is not that good because that means that you will have to cut holes in it.

It has been very helpful having the new PS4 controller stand. It makes storing my controller way easier and way more accessible.

Thank you Mr. Boyes
