Tahuna Triathletes
Three teams competed at the recent Otago Schools Triathlon in Owaka. All students were fantastic ambassadors for Tahuna and they all gave 100%
Our Year 7 girls team of Aria, Peta & Lily were the first girls team home in their event after a really strong showing. The boys Year 8 team of Fred, Lukas and Riley came third as did Maisie, Brooke and Izzy in the girls Year 8 race. Leila, Lola and Harper finished strongly after some mechanical issues on the bike leg.
It was a great day. I would really encourage more kids to have a crack at the Dunedin Triathlon next year so they can qualify for this event too. Big thank you to Markham Brown for helping with the transport.
