Year 7 Food Technology

Students in Food Technology have been looking at the impact of sugar consumption. They analysed the sugar content in popular drinks and this caused a lot of discussion! Students also made crackers and their own healthy brownie with a 'secret' ingredient. Their design task was to plan and then create a rice based snack that was suitable for 10 -14 year olds.

Stewart Island Applications due next week

This years booking has been made and it looks pretty exciting, with a change of venues and inside the predator fenced area at Mamaku Point. Mamaku Point is the most densely populated area for brown kiwi in the world and has five private beaches! It will be a little sad to leave Bunkers Backpackers but this year we will be able to take more students. Maybe even one lucky parent?
