What a week! So much fun in such a short time. Independent skills enhanced and some lifelong friendships gained. All students were fantastic ambassadors for Tahuna.

Our most successful sports team over the past 8 years, our Hockey 'A's played in brand new uniforms last Friday night.

We are back at Dive Otago for our term two dive courses. Emma and Thea are back instructing keen students the basics of Scuba and advanced Snorkelling techniques.

For the past eight years keen scientists from Tahuna have been keeping an eye on the quality of water at Tomahawk Lagoon. Our findings have been shared with other interested parties but this year with the help of our long term Science Advisor, Mr Andrew Innes, Tahuna Scientists are maintaining regular monitoring at our chosen site.

Today we had several ORFU players come and visit room 7. We asked the hard questions about love, life and the wonderful game of rugby.

A huge thank you to Hellers for the massive donation of 480 sausages to our school so that we can raise money for sports uniforms!

This week we were the lucky recipients of a box of 20 free books for Tahuna's Library. 

In the Design Tech room, we have successfully implemented the PICAXE technology into a everyday usage - Monitoring of the ground water level.

We are now taking enrolments for 2019. Either come into the school office or fill out the form online on our website, click on the link below. Enrolments close September 14th. Please contact the school office if you have any questions about out-of-zone enrolments.

The Canteen provides food through ordering Tuesday-Friday. Most food needs to be ordered as it is supplied to the school through outside providers. Students can order in their classroom in the morning. The Canteen is open for sales at lunchtime Tuesday-Friday with limited items for sale.
