Parent/Teacher interviews are coming up and will be held on Tuesday 25th July and Wednesday 26th July.

Our three brand new ovens are in operation in the food tech room thanks to a very generous grant from Bendigo Valley Sports & Charity Foundation. The ones that were replaced were on their last legs so these ovens will benefit the the students and also community groups that use our kitchen.

The Tahuna netball season is nearing an end

On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of last week I attended the NZ Diving Champs. I competed in the Inter-age 12 and 13 year old 1 metre and finished second. I was a bit surprised because I thought I had finished fourth!

After one or two reminders from a very keen class Room 5 got their well-earned trip to Leap this week. Never before has Mr. Owen received every single permission slip for a trip quite as quickly as this!

An opportunity for students to travel to Stewart Island to enhance their leadership skills, build confidence and experience an awesome part of New Zealand.

We welcome our International Guests to our school. There are opportunities to welcome a student into your home during various times of the year. There is a group arriving in August 2019.

In the fifth week this term we have the Remuera Intermediate Students visiting. They are sending a different mix of boys and girls to us so we desperately require a couple more Tahuna boys and their families to host them.

Last week Room 18 had a great day out , supporting our Science focus.

Forces, electricity and hands on science

Last Friday we made what has become an annual visit to the St. Kilda Petanque Club for a taste of French culture.

Students have been exploring different types of measurement through game play.
