Big day today with the extremely fit students making record time to Maori Beach and then on to Port William. We spent over an hour exploring the historical Maori Beach site before carrying on to Port William where the water taxi picked us up. Off to the restaurant for Blue Cod for dinner tonight.

Fishing Called Off Today!

Easterly winds are not good for fishing charters at Stewart Island so today's programme was postponed. Unfortunately the forecast isn't looking any better. We might have to look for other ways to sample some Blue Cod.
Our alternative programme involved a rocky shore study unlike any our students had experienced before along with a bit of trekking around to take in the sights. Paua was on the menu for dinner and nearly everyone sampled it. It was also Happy 13th Birthday for Blake.
