Year 7's

Term four is in full swing.

The Year 7 students have been getting active out on their bikes. It is awesome to see so many students riding their bikes and working on road safety. Most classes have had their first two sessions of cycling and are now aware of the road rules associated with intersections. Some of the children have been out on the various bike paths around our school and others have been down to the dinosaur park.

Many of the Year 7 classes have welcomed College Teachers into their classrooms this week and are enjoying working with these trainees on some exciting lessons.

This term the Year 7's are focusing on novel studies, picture books, passion projects, and mini PBL units. It has been great going around the classrooms and seeing all the different things happening. Room 4 has been looking at forensics and had Kristen come in and talk to the class about DNA, did you know humans and dogs share 94% of the same DNA? Check out the strawberry DNA extraction Room 4 did.
