College Teachers 2017

Welcome to Tahuna our College Teachers for Semester 1, 2017.

We have five Final Year students with us for the year - Ben Qauqau R10, Kirsten Pram R1, Anna Miskimmin R12, Kaitlyn Wheeler R13 & Jessica Sharp R6.

We are also lucky enough to have four Masters students for the next two terms (Four more will arrive in Term 3). They are Kate Collins R16, Elizabeth Kirkby R4, Fiona Mackay R5 & Kate Walsh R17.

We look forward to them teaching and being involved in wider school activities this year.

I am Kate Collins one of the Masters of Teaching and Learning students. In December 2016 I graduated from Otago University with a Bachelors of Arts Majoring in Classical Studies with a minor in History. I lived in Wellington before moving to Dunedin in 2014 for University. Since this is my first year in a teaching program I do not yet know which areas are my strengths and weaknesses, but I am excited to find this out and improve on the abilities I have. I absolutely love traveling because it involves my love of history, meeting new people, exploring different cultures and trying new things. I am really looking forward to this placement are Tahuna and learning to become a teacher.
