Term 3 2020 has certainly been different from other years due to Covid-19 but despite the disruption and cancellation of various events, students and staff have really pulled together to make the most of it.

Councillors voted to use Mufti Day money for class games and classes were very creative with their purchases.

Squash is a new sporting opportunity available at Tahuna as a sports elective. It is a fantastic opportunity, taught by Aynsley Munro of Squash Otago, and the students involved are loving it! Recently, two of our students (JJ Frei - Year 8 and Riley Bridgman - Year 7) signed up to represent Tahuna in the School's Squash Competition, run by Squash Otago. Riley and JJ both won the individuals for CRT 4 and 1 respectively, winning all of their games. The tournament was very well organised and Riley and JJ displayed good sportsmanship throughout the competition. Excellent work boys!!

This year, for the first time, we ran our own version of the O'Mathalon at Tahuna. After some initial disappointment when the full Year 7 and 8 O'Mathalons were cancelled due to Covid-19, we realised that, with so many able mathematicians at Tahuna, we could run our own competition.
