OE day (out door ed.) and House Captain Elections

Keryn Donovan —

We have scheduled an "OE" type House Day for Wed 9th March. Obviously we can't go down to the beach as a school and we can't do a whole school rotation BUT we can still have FUN.

OE DAY: On Wednesday 9th March, our Tamariki will take part in a number of fun activities, challenges and games which will accumulate points for each house group. These activities will be set up on the field and in the classrooms for individual classes to rotate around throughout the day.

The house cup will we awarded at the end of the day according to the number of points each house collects within their classes.

Your child has been allocated a house team and a corresponding colour, which can be found on the school app. Eg. Ra is red, Moana is blue, Tatahi is yellow and Whenua is green.

On Wednesday, come to school dressed up in your house colours (the more colourful and creative the better), along with hat, sunblock, togs and drink bottle etc.

House Captain Elections: We will also be voting for our new House Captains on OE Day.

Interested Yr 6 children are recording their house captain speeches for sharing around the classes. All Students will vote for the candidates in their house they think will represent them best. The nominations will be tallied and our 2022 House captains will be announced....watch this space!
