Rhys Bromell was elected our new Board Chairperson. While Rhys' daughter has moved on to Intermediate, he has enjoyed his association with us so much that he is staying on for at least this year. Thank you Rhys and congratulations on your election to the Chairperson role.

A special thank you to Cam Haring, our retiring Board Chairperson. Cam has been on the Board since 2016 and has been Chairperson for at least 5 years. His calm practical approach has reassured and steered us through some challenging times and he can be proud of the progress made during his tenure. We presented the gift box pictured as a thankyou from the whole Tahunanui School Community.

Due to Cam's resignation and the fact that we have a full board election in September this year, a casual vacancy has occurred on the school board for an elected parent representative. The board has decided to fill the vacancy by selection. If 10% or more of eligible voters on the school roll ask the board, within 28 days of this notice being published, to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy, then a by-election will be held.
