This term Burrell are inquiring into animal enrichment (species-appropriate challenges and stimulation) for some of the inhabitants at Natureland. .
Burrell began their inquiry by visiting Natureland to become curious about what they were inquiring into. Upon returning to school, the students began building their background knowledge about the particular animal they were creating an enrichment for.
Our inquiry process has included brainstorming, problem solving and designing appropriate ideas for a chosen animal. Throughout their inquiry, Burrell will be working with an educator from Natureland to support them with their learning. At the end of the term, Burrell will have the opportunity to return to Natureland to test and observe how the animals respond to the enrichment they have created.
