Communicating and Connecting with Whanau

Barbara Bowen —

We are committed to keeping you informed and involved at all times. Here are a list of our tools and what each is used for

Our @school app is the most efficient way we can communicate with you on a day to day basis

If you have not logged into this and/or need assistance contact your child's teacher, the school office or ian.lambie@tahunanui.school.nz

Your childs online Leaning Portal is for times you are isolating at home. Mr Lambie posted information regarding this in another article in this newsletter. If you are not sure, please ask.

Our newsletter is for sharing our learning and activities and will be updated as these happen. We suggest you check it out every couple of weeks and if you have any important information to share we can add it to the community notices in this publication

Our website is a general reference site to access school documents or to put you in touch with people

www.tahunanui.school.nz

Texting, emailing or giving us a call is the best way to get in touch quickly or to make an appointment to see a staff member

We are also trying to be available before and after school by the gates and outside the classrooms (if you are masked and scanned in)

You may also visit the office at any time with a mask

To add to our range of communication tools and to help you feel more connected to us and each other, we are going to develop a school noticeboard in the windows of the Muritai Centre entrance. If you have particular skills in sign writing, window display or other creative arts, please do let us know as this could be a real feature if done well

If you are not sure about where to go for information or do not feel connected to your child's learning at school, please let us know immediately and we will do our very best to help you reconnect.
