For a number of years now, we have been in discussion with the Ministry of Education and Maitai School regarding the possibility of hosting some Satellite classrooms here at Tahunanui School.

Our Board of Trustees has been very excited about the opportunities that this will provide for both our local children requiring a more specialised programme and all children with extra learning needs being supported in an inclusive mainstream environment.

The great news is that we are about to finalise the plans ready for an August/September 2022 building start (and December 2023 completion).

We have enjoyed working with Maitai School on the design of the building and how it sits on our grounds (adjacent to our Rawhiti Street entrance) and very proudly share these draft concept drawings with you.
