PRODUCTION

We continue the excitement of the production.

Our whole school production will be in the evenings of the 14th, 15th and 16th of August in term 3. Please put this into your calendar. This amazing event takes place every two years. This is a school curriculum event and all students are expected to attend. The year 3-8s perform each night. The year 1-2 students are split into 3 groups and perform only one night each as they are younger. The tickets for production will be on sale early term 3. The year 1-2 tickets will be sold 5 days prior to the others to ensure parents can get tickets for the day their child is performing. We are trying out a new online booking system which should make the process much easier.

I have started the choreography for all classes. In the last week of term, I will be sending home a letter for each class specifying what items they will need for their costume. Please, could their items be at school in a named bag in the first week back of term 3? We will begin full run throughs in week 2 with dress rehearsals in week 3.

If there are any parents who are keen to help out with the following; hair, makeup, backstage, face painting, costume making, set constructing, set painting etc. Please let me know. I would also love to have someone volunteer to put up our stage curtains and some of the backdrop. I am also hunting for steampunk costumes. I would love your help.

Our students always shine in production and it is an amazing opportunity for all.

Kind regards,
