  At Tai Tapu School, our Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring every decision supports the success and well-being of all our learners.
  

  Parent Representatives
  Parent representatives are nominated and elected by the parent community. While they bring a parent perspective to discussions, they do not act as advocates for individual parents or represent the collective parent view. Their responsibility, like all board members, is to govern in the best interests of every child at our kura. Co-opted board members carry this same responsibility.

  
  

  Staff Representative
  The staff representative is nominated and elected by the staff. They contribute a staff perspective, but they are not an advocate for the staff body as a whole. Their focus, too, is on what best supports positive outcomes for all students.

  Collective Responsibility
  All board members work as a unified governance team, guided by the Board Code of Conduct. They bring their individual skills, experiences, and perspectives to the table while upholding their shared commitment to high-quality education, equity, and the long-term success of Tai Tapu School.
