COMMUNITY HUI

TAI TAPU SCHOOL —

You are invited to join our community hui with local MPs to share how the under-resourcing of learning support is impacting our schools and ECE services. One-third of Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) applications are rejected and many tamariki can’t access the support they need to thrive.

Our keynote speaker is Jase Williams, a school principal trained in a trauma-informed approach using the Neurosequential Model in Education, with a focus on wellbeing for ākonga. See below for links to more information.

Also speaking will be local parents and a MOE Disabilities Facilitator, as well as some local MPs. There will be an opportunity to chat informally over supper.

Come along and let your local MPs know there needs to be greater support for all tamariki!

Everyone is very welcome, including parents and whānau, educators, specialists, support staff, the wider community. Please spread the word in your community and workplace, flier attached!
