Halo, Talofa lava, Tēnā koutou i te whānau, Greetings!
Week 7, Spring
Kia ora Parents, Caregivers, and Whānau,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. As we approach the end of another busy week at Tai Tapu School, I'm excited to share some updates and celebrate our students' achievements.
A Week of Great Learning
It's been a fantastic week of learning here at Tai Tapu. Our classrooms have been buzzing with activity, and it's been a joy to see our students engaged and enthusiastic about their learning.
Celebrating Our Students
I'm thrilled to announce some recent successes:
Our Year 7 & 8 Rugby team did us proud by placing 2nd at the Canterbury championships. Well done, team!
Our Literacy Quiz team competed admirably in the South Christchurch competition. A big round of applause for Mae Park Hill, Talia Dann, Maia Sycamore, Charlie Thomas, Ben Aitken, and Indi McNally. Special thanks to Mrs Widdowson for her dedicated support of the team. Their team was called ' The World's Worst Students' based on one of the Lit Quiz books called 'The World's Worst Monsters'. They had a fantastic time and got to hear the guest speaker Bill Nagelkerke, an NZ author who wrote one of the novels. He spoke about how he got ideas for stories. The team finished 7th out of 16 teams. Ka rawe!
Upcoming Events

Tai Tapu House and Garden Tour (24 November): Mark your calendars for this community event. It's an exciting opportunity to peek behind the hedges, fences, and doors of Tai Tapu and Ladbrooks. Secure your tickets at www.taitapugardentour.nz.

BIG THANK YOU! To the PTA for purchasing the great house and school flags! They look amazing!!
As always, if you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or your child's teacher.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
