SPELLING QUIZ

Earlier this term, over 200 teams from around New Zealand competed in an online spelling competition organised by the Otago Daily Times and Education Perfect. 

The spelling quiz consisted of 10 rounds including: speed spelling, proof reading, all or nothing, know your words just to name a few. 

 We had 6 teams competing, and our top year 5/6 team of Ella, Ciara and Ava came 18th out of 142 teams! Our top year 7/8 team of Curtis, Daniel and Emma came 43rd out of 202 teams.

iNVENTIONATOR

This week, 5 of our senior students have been taking part in an innovative challenge run through CORE Education iNVENTIONATOR is a team based challenge designed for students to co-create innovative solutions to real-life problems. 

Students work in collaborative teams with other students from around New Zealand to create a product/solution for a real life problem. They work with industry experts and mentors to help them create a pitch, marketing campaign, and product that could be developed. On Friday, two teams will be presenting their pitch in the finals.
