Digital Technologies Curriculum

At Tai Tapu School we use digital technologies to enhance our learning and to open up new, exciting opportunities to be innovative thinkers.

Students have ready access to a range of digital tools across the school. As well as offering a Bring Your Own Device programme from Years 3-8, we also have a range of school provided iPads and Chromebooks for our students to use.


To assist us in becoming self managed learners we utilise the Google Suite alongside Hapara Teacher Dashboard to provide our students with anytime, anywhere access to their learning and a wealth of multimedia online resources to inspire! These tools allow our students to be closely monitored when engaging online, and promote collaboration.


We pride ourselves as being a community of innovative, creative thinkers and the Apple iPad suite of apps provides our students with the platforms to create digital content for not only their peers, but a global community. From iMovie creation, to Stop Motion Animation and iBooks and Website creation our students are constantly building their ‘toolkit’ of apps and working alongside each other to discover new tools. Students raised funds to  purchase a 3D printer and we offer coding as part of our enrichment programme.
