Tai Tapu School — November 17, 2021
For those of you who don't know me, I'm the Music Teacher here at Tai Tapu School and it's been my privilege to teach your children this year.
They are so fortunate to have the opportunity to have weekly music classes. The progress they have made this year has been outstanding.
We're also very fortunate to have music teachers from the Christchurch School of Music giving private lessons on violin, cello, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trombone, trumpet, and french horn.
A large number of children have taken up this wonderful opportunity to learn an instrument. We even have a string ensemble at Tai Tapu now that rehearse weekly.
On the 30th of November, these teachers will be demonstrating their various instruments to the year 3 & 4 classes. (Years 5-8 have already had a demo earlier this year)
If you or your child is interested in learning next year please feel free to email me or ask Jill or Kathryn in the office for a form. We need to get an idea of the numbers before next year.
I’d also like to mention Mainland Resene ColorShop who very generously donated paint buckets to us so we have a class set of ‘drums’.
