Tainui School —

The following sporting and cultural activities are offered:

Kapa Haka

Tainui School - Rehutai - Timu Otago Polyfest

More than 80 children currently belong to REHUTAI (our kapa haka group) tutored by Tumai Cassidy. Our most recent performance was at the 2017 Otago Schools Māori and Pacific Island Festival.

T Ball

Available to Y2–5 children. Games are played on Saturday mornings at Bathgate Park in Terms 1 and 4.

Futsal

Available to Year 3–6 children. Games are played after school at the Edgar Centre in Terms 1 and 4.

Touch Rugby

Available to Year 5–6 children. Games are played after school on Thursdays, at the Oval in Terms 1 and 4.

Mini Ball

Miniball

Available to Year 5–6 children. Games are played after school on Thursdays, at the Edgar Centre in Terms 2 and 3.

Netball

Available to Year 2-6 children. Games are played after school at the Edgar Centre in Terms 2 and 3.

Hockey

Available to children 8 years and over. Games are played after school on Wednesdays, at the McMillan Turf in Terms 2 and 3.

School Show

A biennial event in which all children perform on stage. Our 2018 show is READING RULZ! It will be held at Otago Boys’ High School Auditorium on Tuesday 19 June (6pm) and Wednesday 20 June (6pm).
