The tech students have been so fortunate to have six new sewing machines and ten pairs of fabric scissors this week! What an amazing difference this has made to our programme. We are so appreciative of the PTA and the amazing work they do so that tamariki can thrive at school.

Stencils have been made, ornaments finished and cushions are taking shape. Tamariki have worked on the machines, getting used to the different stitches, threading up, filling the bobbin and understanding the parts of the machine. Irons have been utilised to press seams for our cushions and careful measurements have been a must! 

This bunch never cease to amaze me - so capable, clever, creative and kind. Tumeke! We have a break next week for Tough Kids and then one more session for the year!
