Happy St Patricks Day

The Principal —

It has been a hive of activity today which started off with a super St Patricks Day parade, with some Irish music and jigs to get us into the swing of things. Tamariki looked amazing in their kakariki green and $102.20 was raised which will go to schools impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle. Thank you everyone for your kindness and generosity.

Tui and Kereru students were busy preparing for the Colour Run next Friday. A lot of banners, spray-painting and prep was done ready for the big day. We hope you will be able to make it along.

A highlight of the week was the Western Athletics on Wednesday. The revamped event was a great success, made possible by the support of so many people. So thank you everyone for coaching, supporting, helping out with the PTA stall and being there. It is very much appreciated. We have a number of students who now go on to the Southland Athletics next Saturday. And good luck to students competing in the triathlon on Monday at Stewart Island.

It is hard to believe but the end of term is approaching rapidly. There is definitely an Autumn feel in the air.

Have a great weekend.

Hei konā mai.
