Kereru - flying to the end of 2022

Liz Whitehead —

What a week it has been in Kereru.

The week saw the start of swimming and all our ākonga in the pool with Brit finding their groups and getting into the swing of things.  We have students at lots of different levels so that means some moving around of classes for the morning.

After lunch we have been practicing for the Celebration of Learning and also looking at Advertising for our final Persuasive Writing Topic of the year.

A number of students were away at Tough Kids on Wednesday.  What a fabulous event which takes courage and perseverance.  The students loved the course and are already asking to go back next year.

The Year 7's had a great day at the Leadership Course last Friday and I am really looking forward to seeing their skills come to fruition next year.

With a busy couple of weeks to go, with swimming Leavers Dinner and Celebration of Learning, it is going to be pretty full on at school.

If you have any boxes which we could use to make a wall for the Celebration of Learning, they would be gratefully received.

We hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ngā mihi

Liz and Steph
