Year 9 Bush Survival Camp

AJ How —

Year 9 students from the improvise, adapt, overcome class took on the challenge to go full survival mode. These year 9's spent the night out in the Pureora forest with nothing but the clothes on their back and some newly engrained survival skills and knowledge.

They built natural bivvys out of plant materials in the surrounding area and waited out the night in small groups. No phones, watches, tents, even no food! They managed to see what it would be like in a real survival situation and how their bodies and minds would adapt and deal with the challenge.

Thankfully they all survived (mostly intact). Big thanks to Mr O'Brien and Mrs Harrington for their time and effort helping out on this camp. Great success!
