The student executive has been working hard around school together as a team and within our individual roles to spread Tauharatanga and provide opportunities for students and staff to get involved. Last term we spread the love on Valentine’s Day and sent everyone on the hunt for the Easter bunny while continuing to run backyard cricket on Fridays and ABCs (Arts, Brains, Culture - activities) on Tuesdays. Last week we had Pink Shirt Day, which we kicked off with a fun assembly, and our kindness awards which were a big hit! These awards helped with increasing the positivity and showing our appreciation for important individuals who consistently show up and spread the Tauhara spirit. We’ve also worked hard to organise and run the ball ensuring it was super fun and enjoyable evening for all those involved! And most recently we helped with athletics day which was a blast! All of these events were a great way to connect the students and staff and there will be many more to come! (Keep an eye out for Pride Week activities to follow!)
