NCEA FEES

T C —

A friendly reminder that all Year 11, 12 and 13 students are required to pay an NCEA Fee. This is a charge by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority for a Level 1, 2 or 3 Qualification.

NCEA fees are $76.70 per year for New Zealand students. International students pay a different amount. These cover students’ results for internal assessments and external exams, as well as NCEA certificates and Records of Achievement. The fee for each scholarship subject entry is $30.

The last day for payment is Friday 13 September. Payment arrangements can be made with the school i.e. automatic payment. Please make contact with us and talk through the options – email the Finance Manager Linda Nouwens - ln@tauhara.school.nz or phone 07 3789304 Ext 826.

NCEA fees can be significantly reduced through financial assistance.

Please see the information below and contact the college office if you think you may be eligible.

Financial assistance

Who can apply for financial assistance?

Financial assistance is available to assist with the payment of entry fees for National Secondary Schools qualifications. To be eligible to apply you must be the fee-payer and meet at least one of the following criteria:

· be receiving a Work and Income or Study Link benefit (benefit-based applications)

· have a joint familyincome that would entitle you to receive a Community Services Card (income-based applications)

· are a fee-payer with two or more children who are candidates, irrespective of family income (multiple candidate applications), where the total fees you would have to pay would otherwise be more than the $200 multiple candidate maximum.

You cannot claim financial assistance for international fee-paying students.

How do I apply for financial assistance?

Complete an application online for all members of your familyfor whom you are seeking financial assistance. The form is also available from the college office.

Send the completed form to the school that you have listed on the form. If your application covers more than one candidate, send the form to the school of the first candidate you have listed. That school will process your application. If you are the fee-payer for candidates attending different schools, the first school will send it on to those schools for you. The closing date for applying for financial assistance through the school is FRIDAY 30th August 2019.
