Youth Week

Steve McDonald —

During Week 4 (Thursday lunchtime - 18th May), many of the Youth Agencies in Taupo paid a visit to Tauhara College to offer our youth a variety of activities, games and kai.

Activities such as a positivity board, pin board, target games, hacky sack throw and kia-o-rahi were offered. Students mixed and mingled with the agency providers and relaxed on bean bags with sausage and bread.

The event was a huge success with dozens of students participating and enjoying what was on offer. It was a chance for our youth to connect with these youth agencies and get to know what each has to offer.

The agencies involved included Youthtown, Anamata, Blue Light, Taupo Family Centre, Real, and the Taupo Community Police. We would like to thank all these agencies for providing our students with a fun and informative event.

Each year Youth Week is vital for our tamariki to access the many agencies represented in our community for themselves and for their whanau’s benefit.

Thank you sincerely, students and the many youth agencies represented for your awesome mahi!
